I’ve just got back from a fantastic wedding at Lapstone Barn in the Cotswolds, and I wanted to jump on here and share a few thoughts while it’s still fresh in my mind.
First of all — massive congratulations to Thomas and Katie! Such a genuinely lovely couple, and their friends and family were just brilliant. Really warm, welcoming people — I couldn’t have asked for a nicer group to perform for.
The setting was beautiful. Lapstone Barn is a cracking venue — loads of character, rustic charm, and perfect for a relaxed but classy wedding. The weather held out too — warm, but not too hot, which for a wedding magician in a suit is always appreciated!
I was booked to perform during that golden lull between the wedding breakfast and the evening celebrations — and it worked perfectly. Guests were relaxed, milling about, drinks in hand, and ready to be amazed. The reactions were priceless.
And just as I was leaving, I heard the first dance kick off — I’m pretty sure it was “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. A classic, and it gave the perfect emotional close to the day. Magic in every sense.
Thomas and Katie — thank you again for having me. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter… and maybe a few magic moments along the way too.
